Do I Need A Birth Plan?
Birth is full of unknowns, and for many people they actually have a fear of the unknown. So the best way to overcome that is to shine light on the parts you’re not too sure about. See birth planning is not about creating a rigid plan. It’s about making intentional time to discuss your options for labour, what the immediate postnatal recovery looks like, how to manage expectations and how to self advocate for your preferences with your care team. It shows you your preferences and where you can be flexible. And we call it a map, not a plan!
