Support the way you need it

Having a baby is an exciting time! And yet, it’s also a delicate time full of unknowns. You may feel anxious about not knowing what to expect or how to handle changes to your birth preferences.  As your doulas, we’ll provide you with tailored one-on-one coaching, informational, practical and emotional support that prioritizes your well being, minimizes those unknowns and provides realistic coping techniques, so you can confidently birth your baby.

Rest assured, no matter the circumstance, or where you are in the world, you can have your doula by your side. All of our services are virtual, though you do have the option to upgrade to in-home support. Schedule a connection call to learn more.

We offer both in-person packages & virtual packages

What Does Support Actually Look Like?

  • We’re available from the moment you register to answer any questions, chat about what’s happening and just listen to your concerns. Until our group chat starts, we’re available by phone or email during business hours.

  • Between you, one support person and your doula(s) you'll have a private group chat. Giving you an opportunity to ask all those random questions that come to mind. Think of it as your doula in your pocket - we’re never far away.

  • During these 1.5 hour sessions, we’ll have an opportunity to discuss, plan and prepare for your babe’s birthday party and your transition to parenthood. If you’re looking for education classes, we can add that into your package and schedule private personalized classes.

  • We’ll have preemptive chats to set your family up for success. You’ll learn insider knowledge and tips for your recovery process, what the first few days truly look like, what’s normal for your babe and a wide range of feeding strategies.

  • Once you are 37 weeks, I am available 24 hours a day for your immediate labour-related questions. I don’t make any big plans in anticipation of your call.

  • From the moment you let us know you’re in labour, we’ll jump on the phone to provide suggestions, be your soundboard and coach you through the unknowns. We’ll help you remain calm in those overwhelming moments. Once you’re in active labour and needing to concentrate through your contractions, we’ll jump in the car and head to your home or birth centre.

  • While you’re in the hospital, we’ll have scheduled and impromptu video or telephone check-ins, where we’ll debrief your birth experience, discuss feeding strategies, provide suggestions for your physical and mental recovery, and help you decipher your newborn’s cues

  • We’ll have an in-home visit to debrief your birth experience, discuss feeding strategies, provide suggestions for your physical and mental recovery, and help you decipher your newborn’s cues. Or if you’re just really needing a moment to yourself, we can care for your babe as you take a shower or get some rest.

  • Every family is different and our doulas have supported a variety of families. We won’t give you a cookie-cutter answer to your questions. Based on our conversations, we’ll give you personalized suggestions and options that make sense for you.

  • You have access to a wide variety of resources to expand your exposure to content, we believe, to be true representations of normal births and parenting experiences. You’ll see videos, worksheets, exercises, practices, suggested readings, referrals and more

  • When you select one of our birth packages, you get a discount toward any additional prenatal classes you take and extending your postpartum support.

What In-Person Families Are Saying

“I was so happy I hired Fiona to be my doula during my labour/birth. I was really worried how I'll handle the emotional aspects, and having her there to keep me in the moment, talk to the nurses while we were resting, helping me get water and snacks and check in on me all played a role in helping me deal with the long 20+ hour labour. Big thanks to her!”

Sandra, first time mom

“Fiona and Nikole were amazingly knowledgeable and helped us gain confidence in the upcoming labour. I decided to go all natural with no pain medicine and to top it off, my baby was backwards. During my labour, Fiona took me and my fiancé through many techniques and positions that naturally turned her around and successfully got us through the whole labour.”

Claudia, first time mom

“I was hesitant at my daughters decision to have a doula present but during the labour, my trust in Fiona to care for my labouring child grew immensely. She handled my daughter with so much care and didn't leave until all was said and done. I hope to see her during the next pregnancy!”

Charleen, mother of pregnant client
