BIRTH & POSTPARTUM DOULA
WOMB STEAMER | LACTATION COUNSELOR (in training)
Fiona knows first hand the challenges birthing women can face because she experienced many of them herself. From mourning pregnancy loss, to walking away from a vaginal birth still feeling dissatisfied, to being a new parent struggling to breastfeed, to developing postpartum depression - she gets it. Which is why she didn’t want other families to have to work through these challenges alone.
As a birth and postpartum worker, Fiona is passionate about lactation, the postpartum transition and family health. Mothers need to be mothered, and so do fathers. Both parents are experiencing the birth and postpartum period together and when they both receive the support they need, the family as a whole unit thrive together. She believes every family can gain the necessary knowledge, tools and resources to be confident in their own abilities and intuition. It starts in pregnancy and continues for a lifetime.
Her holistic approach, patience, empathy, knowledge and experiences guide parents as they venture into the beginning of their parenthood journeys.
