The Delivery Womb believes in freedom of medical choice and privacy.
For those of you that we see in person, we wanted to let you know that we are doing to keep you and your family safe and healthy. Truth is, there are only a few things that we are doing differently than what we were doing before.

CDC UPDATE
As of January 2022, the CDC conducted a study that shows people who have had a previous infection (and remain unvaccinated) actually have lower case rates than those who have been vaccinated.
What does that mean for you?
Whether a person chooses to be vaccinated or remain unvaccinated, both can spread germs, bacteria and illness. The vaccine is meant for the individual that's taken it to have minimal symptoms if they catch COVID-19, which means it could be harder to spot symptoms or they may present as asymptomatic. Every individual, regardless of status, should continue maintaining health and safety precautions, like taking at-home tests prior to seeing families and/or be committed to not visiting multiple families at the same time.
Our Policy Approach
It is your choice to disclose any and all medical information to us, including what your vaccination status may be. We will not discriminate against anyone based on their medical status. With that said, we also ask that you respect the medical choice and privacy of our doulas.
If the vaccination status of your doula is pertinent information for you to make an informed decision about who’d like to support you, you can definitely let us know that you will only work with a particular vaccination status in our intake form and we’ll pair you with a doula that matches that request if they are available. If you are indifferent, then great - you have more doulas to choose from!
Keeping Your Health Top of Mind
What our team was already doing to keep you safe:
Change of Clothes
The clothing your doula is wearing at your home is a fresh uniform that is only worn to doula related visits. They are washed between visits and not worn when running errands around town.
Slippers Are Always Worn
Everyone’s home has germs on their floor so we prefer not to wear our socks around your home! Our slippers are also washed between visits to ensure they are fresh for your home!
Blankets Are Used as a Line of Defense
Your newborn’s skin is so sensitive that we don’t want our clothing or detergent used to irritate their skin. We always will cover ourselves with one of your babe’s receiving or muslin blankets so their skin touches a detergent they are already familiar with.
Doula Screening
Your Doula does a self-assessment on how they are doing. If they have a temperature, runny nose, sneezing, coughing, sore throat, aches or any other symptom, they will get in touch with you as soon as possible to request a reschedule.
What our team is doing now
Family Screening
Within the week of our scheduled visit, you will be required to complete the COVID-19 screening questions. You will be asked to self-assess prior to each visit and if anyone is not feeling well, that visit may be rescheduled or moved to online support.
Personal Protective Equipment
Your Doula has PPE stashed in her doula bag, should you request them to wear it. The request to wear the PPE should be made prior to your doula’s arrival at your home. The PPE available are:
masks or a face shield
full body gowns,
gloves as well
